Privacy at micronoxs.com
This page says what Micronoxs learns about a visitor to micronoxs.com, what is done with it and what is not. It is written for a purchasing office and a repair bench alike, in plain words, and it is short because the site does little.
What the request form collects
The form on the request-a-quote page asks for a name, an email address, an optional workshop or company name, a delivery country, a part list and a free-text message. Those fields exist for one purpose: to write a quote and send it to the address given. The form is delivered by a form-relay service, FormSubmit, which passes the submission to the mailbox [email protected] as an email and is not used by us to keep a database of senders. The web pages themselves keep nothing you type; the email in the mailbox is the only record.
A submission is kept in the mailbox for as long as the enquiry, the quote and any order that follows are live, and for the period afterwards that Dutch bookkeeping rules require for commercial correspondence. After that it is deleted. Send a message to the mailbox at any time and the correspondence is deleted sooner, unless an open order depends on it.
The one thing stored in your browser
When you first arrive, a notice asks whether you accept analytics and performance measurement. Whichever you choose, the site writes a single entry to your browser's local storage under the key mnx_consent_v1, holding your choice and the moment you made it, so the notice does not reappear. That entry is read by nothing except the notice itself. No analytics tool, tag manager, advertising pixel or measurement script is installed on micronoxs.com at present, and the site sets no cookies of its own. If a measurement tool is ever added, it will run only for visitors whose stored choice allows it, and this page will be changed first to say so.
The pages load two typefaces from a fonts service, which means your browser requests those font files from that service's servers and that request carries your address, as any web request does. No other part of these pages reaches outside this domain.
Server logs
Like every website, the server that delivers these pages records ordinary access logs: the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time and the browser's name. Those logs exist to keep the site running and to spot faults. They are not joined to form submissions and they are not used to identify a visitor.
What is never done
Micronoxs does not sell, rent, trade or share the details from a form with anyone, for any purpose. The mailbox is used to answer you and to fulfil an order; it is not used to build a marketing list, and no newsletter exists to add you to.
Your rights in the EU
Under the General Data Protection Regulation a person whose details we hold may ask to see them, have them corrected, have them deleted, receive a copy in a portable form, restrict how they are used, or object to their use. Each of those requests is answered from [email protected]; write to it with the address you used on the form so the correspondence can be found. The Dutch data protection authority can hear a complaint if an answer does not satisfy you.
Your rights in California
A visitor from California has the right to know what personal information a business holds about them, to have it deleted, to opt out of any sale of it, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Micronoxs sells no personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of; the other three rights are exercised by writing to [email protected].
Children
This site sells industrial components to businesses and is not aimed at anyone under sixteen. If a form was sent by a child, write to the mailbox and it will be deleted.
